Hinterland is a touring arts project which aims to bring shows out into towns, villages and cities around Ireland.
It is made up of artists, performers, musicians, theatre makers, technicians and craftspeople.
They have received a fantastic reaction to their first production, J.M Synge’s The Playboy of the Western World, which included a live traditional music accompaniment.
To date they have performed to audiences in towns and villages around counties Tipperary, Waterford, Kilkenny, Cork, Wexford, Kildare and Clare and have even ventured off the mainland to perform on Inis Meáin in the Aran Islands.
